The menu is kind of difficult to help you decide on what to order but our waiter made great suggestions. “ Biba, reborn! At least according to my long time Sacramento parents. They can vouch for the OG, and according to them, it compares. Personally, I loved Mattone. It was your classic Italian restaurant with elevated aspects, but the casual and warm family atmosphere that makes it feel like Tori’s having a meal made with love. The lasagne is worth the hype, but I was glad I ordered the homemade ravioli because it was delicious! Portions were decent and the salads were fresh too. Our waiter was lovely and we had a wonderful evening celebrating our first wedding anniversary. I would definitely come back here, and am just grateful the legacy of the place lives on. ”

The food here was top tier. Service was great too. It just started off kind of awkward, at least from my perspective. But my waitress warmed up about mid way and the remainder of the service was stellar. I had the lamb appetizer. Had a pesto ravioli with Italian ham and cheese filling. Pistachio sauce. Incredible mix of flavors. Cappuccino cheese cake for dessert. Perfect texture. Great flavor. The whole meal including the wine was pure perfection. Will repeat as often as I can. ”
